Changes to my study program
Hi everyone!
Today is our last blog and
the theme of today is the changes I would change in my study program (Anthropology):
Current study program has
two years of basic stage, two years of specialty (Archaeology, Social Anthropology
or Physical Anthropology) and one year of practice and final research. Also we
have two courses for all Faculty students, general training and English courses.
In general terms, I like
the program of Anthropology and we have meetings with professors to talk about
the problems during the courses and how can be solved.
But, I think it’s necessary
to make some changes:
Those two courses for FACSO
students are not necessary for me at all. One is enough (academic writing
course). I prefer concentrate in my career courses or in the general training
and English courses.
Second, in Department of
Anthropology there are good professor… and bad professors. People who has
researches and writings, but they don’t know how to teach and what it’s worse:
they don’t care.
During the last two years
we had the cases of one absent professor. She wasn’t for several pretext. It
was ridiculous. Also, there was a very unpleasant assistant with who we had
problems, especially me.
The other case is one professor
during this semester. There is no relation between the course program and
classes and evaluation. We had a test three weeks ago and it was a disaster,
not because it was difficult, rather the instructions and previous indications
were not clear. I hope a bad calification.
If they don’t like teaching
just say it! I prefer learning on my own! or the Department hire more professors.
wow, bad teachers abound. Good luk and strength
ResponderEliminarHii Nico, I also think that bad teachers are a problem, but I think that these two courses are necessary, maybe a change in the methodology would help a bit to make them more entertaining.
